The Challenge
Before our intervention, our clients’ master suite in Mount Royal was in dire need of a makeover! The bathroom, outdated and lacking a bathtub, completely lacked the hotel-like comfort the couple envisioned. The shower was neither modern nor functional.
In the bedroom, the absence of a walk-in closet and custom cabinetry made storage difficult, creating a cluttered and uninspiring space.
In short, the suite lacked modernity, functionality, and luxury—a perfect challenge to transform it into the chic and serene Ritz-inspired haven our clients desired.
The Client's Need
When our clients from Mount Royal came to us, they had a very clear vision: their master suite had to go from “meh” to “wow,” with a very chic, Ritz-Carlton-style inspiration. We weren’t talking about simple renovations, but about creating a true home experience!
Their wish list was ambitious, and we loved the challenge:
- Bathroom: refreshed, bright and modern. The challenge: to integrate a bath and a shower into a small space — mission accepted to offer the best of both worlds.
- Storage: priority number one. Creation of a walk-in closet and custom-made cabinetry for optimal storage, designed down to the millimeter.
- Sleeping area: a king-size bed in the heart of a "hotel" ambiance. Long curtains filter the light for a hushed and intimate atmosphere.
- Luxury and well-being: the addition of a steam fireplace provides a warm and soothing touch worthy of high-end hotels.
- Consistency with the house: preserving the wood flooring, moldings and white design to harmonize the new suite with the rest of the decor.
The concept
Our concept was based on a few key principles:
- A bright and calming ambiance: walls in very pale shades, a white base to enlarge the space and create a fresh atmosphere. Light curtains to let in natural light while preserving privacy.
- Storage redesigned: partial demolition to create a spacious walk-in closet. Cabinetmaking
- Signature element: the green stone fireplace, a central piece that lends nobility and character to the space.
- Custom cabinetmaking: discreet cupboards, integrated drawers and every nook and cranny optimized for ultra-functional storage.
