Our clients dreamed of transforming their duplex, converted into a single-family home, into the house of their dreams, where they would watch their child grow up. Artists at heart, they had a very specific vision and were looking for the perfect partners to bring it to life.

Renovating a creative space
Details of the project
The issue
The challenge of this project was to transform a small space to meet the needs of a family, while optimizing every corner. We renovated the bedrooms by incorporating custom-made furniture to maximize space and redesigned the basement to make it fully habitable.
However, the real challenge arose during demolition: we discovered that the electrical installation throughout the house was dangerously faulty. Signs of overheating in the walls showed that the family was at risk of fire.
Our priority was to make our clients’ home safe. We rewired the entire electrical system, not only to bring it up to code, but more importantly to ensure the family’s safety and peace of mind. What began as a simple renovation turned into a vital project to protect the home and its occupants.
The need
To create a timeless space that reflected their personalities, we had to find the perfect balance between originality and simplicity. This house would become the ideal place for family and friends to gather for many years to come.
The concept
At the beginning of our inspections, hidden defects were revealed. This meant that major work had to be carried out on the upper floor and basement, in addition to a few improvements on the ground floor. To strengthen the structure of the house and create the space our clients dreamed of, we divided our plan into several stages:
- Completely rebuilding the basement to make room for all the creativity of their vision
- Modernize and improve the kitchen to renovate
- Replace the roof and better insulate this 1940s building to ensure a healthy environment.
