Residential Renovation

Specific Needs

Analyzing your renovation needs

“Knowing your needs” is an expression that may seem simple, but in reality, it is much more nuanced. Our experience has enabled us to develop a method for structuring and understanding our clients’ real needs in their renovation projects.

Whether your project is a long-held dream or a response to a sudden problem, our goal is to support you in achieving your expectations. The best way to do this, and the cornerstone of a successful project, is to clearly identify what you want and organize the process efficiently.

Analyzing your needs for a successful project!

To ensure that our first meeting is as effective as possible, we suggest the following approach. It will enable us to better understand your expectations and get your project off to a good start.

We invite you to create a list for each of the points below. Give each item a score from 1 to 5, depending on its importance (5 being the most important). If several of you are involved in the project, feel free to add up your results to get a shared vision.

Your essential needs: What is non-negotiable in your project.

Your desires: The elements you would like to include if the budget allows.

Elements to avoid: The things you absolutely do not want.

Your expectations of our support: What you expect from our collaboration.

During our first meeting, we will review this list together at your home. This document will be our starting point for analyzing the viability of your project.

The essential requirements of the project: here, we make decisions!

At this stage, we need to be clear: if you had to do only the bare minimum of your work, what would you stick to? This is the question we ask ourselves in order to fully understand your needs. If we cannot find a solution to carry out this essential work, we will unfortunately not be able to help you.

This understanding of what is central to you will serve as our anchor. It will enable us to develop relevant scenarios that directly address your priorities.

Desires that enhance your project

Wants are all the needs that are not essential, but could enhance your project. They are the things we would like to achieve if there were no constraints. We add the non-essential elements that will increase your satisfaction and prioritize them. The goal is to include as many as possible!

What needs to be avoided

We also want to know your concerns and what might be difficult for you during the renovation. Knowing what you want is important, but knowing what you don’t want is just as important.

By laying your cards on the table, you help us tailor our support to ensure your maximum satisfaction. This allows us to confirm from the outset that your expectations are realistic and achievable.

Expectations for our collaboration

Our goal is simple: to ensure that we are the right partners for your project. We will achieve this together, as a team. Now is the time to be clear about the basis of our collaboration, addressing sensitive issues, the frequency of our exchanges, and our method of communication. Mutual transparency will be our greatest asset.

Needs may change

It is perfectly normal for your needs to evolve as discussions progress and you receive more information. That is why we will take the time to review them throughout the design phase.

We want to satisfy you

For us, customer satisfaction is paramount. The idea is to understand what will make you say, at the end of the project, that it was worth it. We create the winning conditions for perfect synergy. Whether it’s a dream project or a much-needed renovation, an exceptional result always starts with a collaboration where everyone brings out the best in each other.
