As you prepare for our first meeting, here’s how we’ll get you started:

1. Your essential needs for the renovation project
2. Your more optional requirements for the project
3. Sensitive elements to avoid in the course of your project
4. Your expectations in terms of our personalized approach to you

The first 2 steps will focus directly on your home renovation needs.

The next 2 will tell us more about your needs in terms of personalized renovation support during the months we work together.

renovation support

For each of these 4 steps, create a short list on which you’ll rank your needs, giving them a score from 1 to 5, according to importance (5 being the most important). If two or more of you are involved in the project, add up your results. The idea is to end up with a single list combining the results of all those involved.

During our first meeting at your home, we’ll review this list, so as to revalidate your needs after the site visit. This list will be our starting point for analyzing the viability of your project.

TO HELP YOU ANALYZE YOUR NEEDS, HERE ARE THE 4 STEPS WE SUGGEST:

1. YOUR ESSENTIAL NEEDS FOR THE RENOVATION PROJECT

This is where we cut to the chase! If you were forced to carry out only the minimum amount of work you had in mind, where would you stand? If we don’t come up with a solution to ensure that this essential work is carried out, we won’t be qualified to help you. Our understanding of what’s central to getting your project off the ground will anchor the scenarios we propose.

2. YOUR DESIRES, MORE OPTIONAL, TO BE FULFILLED IN THE PROJECT

Wishes are all the other needs that your project could fulfill. It’s what you’d like to achieve, if there were no constraints. We add the non-crucial elements that will enhance your satisfaction, and prioritize them. The goal is to include as many as possible!

3. SENSITIVE ELEMENTS TO AVOID IN THE COURSE OF YOUR PROJECT

We want to know what you’re afraid of, so we can find out what you might find difficult along the way. It’s good to know what you want, but it’s just as important to know what you don’t want. This will help us to know how we can best support you in your renovation. Putting our cards on the table and assuring us in advance that it’s feasible.

4. YOUR EXPECTATIONS IN TAILORING OUR APPROACH TO YOU

Our goal is to make sure we’re the right partner for you, and vice versa! Let’s set the record straight by clarifying the foundations of our collaboration. After all, it’s together, as a team, that we’ll bring your project to fruition. Mutual transparency is our best asset. Mode, frequency and method of communication… Sensitive points, particular realities… It’s time to be clear.

Needs can change

Needs are revisited throughout the design process. They may change or evolve on the basis of the information obtained. This is normal, and we need to be prepared for it.

We want you to be satisfied

The idea here is to understand what will make you say that it was worth doing this project with ESPÉ, that we understood your needs and were able to meet them. We set up the winning conditions for the best possible synergy. Whether it’s a dream project or an essential one, it all starts with a collaborative effort in which each person is at his or her best through the contribution of the other.

Objective per person involved :

– List of essential needs
– List of desires
– List of things to avoid
– List of expectations in personalizing our approach
