‘’Z’’ Reveals
This tool allows us to finish the installed gypsum, and to leave a space between the gypsum and the floor. Once fixed against the gypsum and supported on the ground, all that remains is to plaster on the perforated part. For a perfect result, it is important to have a level floor. If this is not the case, the Z molding will not be able to follow the height difference. We take out the laser before going any further!
In the case of a uneven floor
In the event that the floor is uneven (or not), the following composition could also be used to install a straight baseboard which would be recessed at the bottom of the wall. That is to say, this baseboard would have the same thickness as the gypsum and would be separated by a continuous opening. In such a case, if the floor is not level, the baseboard can be cut to match its slope. A professional job, but it’s doable!
